Questions

Answers about Qommis: the agent at the entrance of your website, routing AI shopping agents, the pilot, personal data.

What is Qommis?

An AI agent placed at the entrance of your online shop. It recognises the AI shopping agents that arrive, verifies their identity, answers them from your real data (stock, prices, promotions, lead times, returns, order status) and guides them all the way to purchase. It is in closed beta, open to pilot websites.

What does “routing” an agent mean?

Sending it to the right place depending on who it is and what it asks for: serving it your data directly, sending it to the right product page, the right API or the right product feed, taking it to the basket and checkout, or refusing it if it is fake.

Can an AI agent buy on my website?

That is what the Qommis agent, in closed beta, is designed to do: take a verified agent to the basket and checkout. An agent whose identity cannot be verified will be able neither to fill a basket nor to place an order.

What needs to be installed?

An entry point in front of your website: a Cloudflare Worker or its equivalent at the CDN, a reverse proxy, or a middleware in your application.

How does the pilot work?

A data processing agreement is signed, then the Qommis agent is installed at the entrance of your website. It is in closed beta: pilot websites receive it as it is developed.

What does the report contain?

What the agent saw, agents by assistant, agents refused by the site, the product pages most read, probable impersonation, humans referred by an AI, two signals, and what the report does not say.

Does Qommis tell training crawlers apart from shopping agents?

Yes. The Qommis agent separates them, shows what your configuration does to each today, then handles them according to your rules.

Can each agent be treated differently?

Yes. You set the rules by type of agent: guide a customer’s assistant all the way to purchase, slow down a training crawler, refuse a scraper or a fake agent outright.

What can you see of what agents do?

Every request produces a dated line: the agent, the decision (served, routed, refused, slowed down), the item requested and the data served. These lines are the only data Qommis keeps, and they belong to you.

My AI-referred traffic is small: what will Qommis see?

Human visits referred by an AI are often still small: less than 1% of total traffic, according to Bain. Agent reads, on the other hand, only show at the entrance of your website: that is where Qommis counts them, along with the share of your catalogue already read.

What about personal data?

The Qommis agent sees IP addresses go by. A data processing agreement is signed before it is installed; the report contains no visitor address; only the dated lines of exchanges with agents are kept, and they belong to you.

Does Qommis improve my place in assistants’ answers?

No, and it does not promise to. Qommis does not try to win over assistants: it simply answers them correctly, with your data, and shows you what happened.
